Tomatoes can grow in the hot climate of Vijayawada, provided it receives not more than 3 to 4 hours of direct sunlight and is watered regularly as soon as the top-soil turns dry. To preserve the soil moisture mix some coco-peat fibres in the soil and add a layer of mulch on top of your soil.
