Coconut Husk chips Hydroponics Horti Standard for Orchid/Anthurium Gardening Coconut Husk Chips are small pieces of coconut husks. It is mainly used for Orchids and Anthurium gardening purposes, also ideal for use in flower beds and in gardens. The chips serve the same purpose as other common forms of ground cover, helps to keep the underlying ground moist and capable of supplying the growing plants with nutrition. Since the coconut husk is a natural organic growing element, it will get decomposed over a period of time and also enrich the soil fertility and by conditioning it. Thus Coconut husks are primarily used around enriching potting soil or providing an effective ground covering around small plants in a garden setting.

Small/medium Coconut Husk flakes are a primary ingredient for orchid as well Anthurium potting mixtures. These flakes can be the perfect add up with other ingredients to create a large variety of orchid / anthurium mixtures. These chips are shredded in various sizes quarter to 1 inch size and shaped with fibrous splits that orchid roots can search well. The husk chips can absorb water easily and holds it like a sponge, releasing it as per the plant roots’ requirements.
