Skills and Experience Required
- Degree in Architecture, Landscape Designing
- Ability to manage contractor and gardening staff on Landscape Design projects, give instructions and get work done
- Ability to plan and prioritize tasks, maintain schedule and manage projects varying from 1 day to 6 months
- Should be willing to travel within the city to monitor projects
Role and Responsibilities:
- Establishing general landscape requirements with clients;
- Conducting preliminary inspection of the site and assessing a site’s potential to meet the client’s specifications;
- Accurately preparing and presenting detailed plans and working drawings, including applications, construction details and specifications for the project using computer-aided design (CAD) packages or similar design software;
- Creating and presenting design proposals to clients, dealing with enquiries and negotiating any amendments to the final design
- Matching the client’s wishes with your knowledge of what will work best
- Contacting and coordinating manufacturers and suppliers for Landscaping work and garden accessories.
- Making site visits;
- Ensuring deadlines are met;
- Liaising with other professionals on the project;
- Monitoring and checking work on-site
- Attending public inquiries to give evidence if necessary;
- Generating new business opportunities.
- Supervises and directs grounds personnel by establishing schedules, assigning tasks, monitoring and reviewing projects to ensure deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Decides on the planting scheme for Landscape Designing
